LDEI St Louis/Ville Collaborative Holiday Donation Project
As our Chapter will not be celebrating the Holiday Season in our usual fashion, we’ve agreed to help the Ville Collaborative and Gift of Hope with their Christmas Event in North City.
The Ville Collaborative is a group of organizations supporting the historic Ville neighborhood of North St. Louis. These include numerous 501(c)(3) nonprofits and several churches located in the Ville as well as several organizations (including Social Justice 4 All (SJ4A)) that while not located in the Ville directly contribute to the overall health and wellness of the residents there.
Their annual Christmas gathering has always included baskets of items for each family and toys and gifts for each child. These baskets will support about 120 families in the Ville. For our part, we will be donating household and personal care items that will be included in the baskets.
If you are unable to donate an item, we will happily accept donations which will allow us to purchase these items. They are providing the basket and will put the baskets together. Should there be any excess item donated, Bridge of Hope Ministries, a 501(c)(3) with the mission of creating pathways out of poverty through education and advocacy, will distribute them throughout the year. Anything you donate will be greatly appreciated!!
