Award-winning cookbook author, James Beard-nominated food journalist, and Contributing Editor at Dessert Professional, Julia is also a practicing food stylist, recipe developer, and pastry chef. Her work has appeared in Bon Appétit, Fine Cooking, Better Homes and Gardens, Chocolatier, Pastry Art & Design, and Mary Engelbreit’s Home Companion, among others. Julia’s first book Cookie Swap won three Cordon d’ Or Awards, and her second, Ultimate Cookies, released in November 2012. Julia is also the founder and host of Cookie Connection, the world’s largest online cookie decorating community. Julia is currently at work on a third book, an app, and a video series – all centered around the sugar arts. When not baking, decorating, or writing, Julia serves as President of the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP).
